Aniplex Acquires Egg Firm, Strengthening Planning and Production Pipeline

Aniplex has acquired all shares of Tokyo-based production and planning company Egg Firm, making it a wholly owned subsidiary as of February 2, 2026. The purchase price was not disclosed. Acclaimed manga author Leiji Matsumoto died on February 13 at 11:00 a.m. due to acute heart failure at a hospital in Tokyo. He was 85 years old.
